Who we are
David Schaefer and Frank Romero founded Schaefer's in 1946 as a corner drug store at 13th & F Streets. In the mid-fifties, Frank Romero added a small TV Department to the drug store.
With the advent of color television, this department grew to be one of the fastest growing television stores in the area. In 1972 Ron Romero, Frank's son, joined the company and soon added appliances to make Schaefer's a full line television and appliance store. Since then, Schaefer's has remained family owned and has become one of the largest independently owned TV and Appliance dealers in the Midwest. Schaefer's operates out of two locations located in Lincoln. Our retail location is located at the corner of 48th & R and our Service location is located at 601 N. 66th St.
Success
Schaefer's has been a prominent name in the Lincoln market for the past four decades. The success of Schaefer's is keyed to two very important things our employees and repeat business. "In today's market, you have to handle good products at a competitive price. But not every retailer focuses on customer service," says President, Ron Romero. We are a "value added" retailer. We empower our employees to take care of our customer's needs. If a customer happens to have a problem with a product, Schaefer's will bend over backwards to get it solved.
Our service center is the largest in the city. A knowledgeable sales staff, express delivery and our customer service representatives are just a few of the ways in which we, at Schaefer's, separate ourselves from our competitors
Mission Statement
Our employees developed Schaefer's mission statement to be a reflection of what Schaefer's means to them. It is something that we are very proud of, and have displayed prominently at both store locations, additionally all employees receive their own personal copy to remind them of what we are trying to accomplish, and how we will go about it.
