After 80 years in business in Lincoln, Pfizer's Lincoln Operation is a major supplier of Pfizer Animal Health products to customers in more than 60 countries. For the first 70 years, the operation was known as Norden Laboratories. Briefly, in the early 1990's, it was SmithKline Beecham Animal Health, until the business was acquired by Pfizer Inc in 1995. Today, the operation is the largest manufacturing site within Pfizer Inc for production of animal health biologicals and pharmaceuticals. Annual production exceeds 550 million vaccine doses. Core competencies in biological production are: mammalian cell growth virus propagation via roller bottles and bioreactors fermentation technology downstream processing via centrifugation, filtration, concentration, purification and antigen characterization liquid fill from 1 ml to 500 ml lyophilization packaging Major biological products produced at Lincoln are: RespiSure, BoviShield, FarrowSure, the Vanguard product line, Felocell CVR and LitterGuard. Pharmaceutical production is regulated by the FDA and EU. Production includes antibiotic drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs, parasitic ides, liquid and tablet nutritional supplements, shampoos and anthelmintic pastes and suspensions. Annual production includes more than 500 thousand liters of liquids, more than 1.5 million kilograms of solids and more than 600 million tablets.
