Outpatient services are designed to provide youth and families with access to community based resources for assessment and counseling to assist in the resolution of problems in living related to family conflict, school behavior, emotional disturbance, trauma, sexual abuse, substance abuse, and mental illness. Services are provided by mental health professionals, with training and experience in the areas of psychiatry, psychology, social work, psychiatric nursing, marriage and family therapy, and counseling. All treatment services are supervised by a psychiatrist or psychologist. Child Guidance Center offers services through its outpatient programs; a specialized residential treatment program for adolescent males who have demonstrated sexually abusive behavior; an afternoon-evening day treatment program for severely emotionally disturbed youth ages 6-12 at risk of out-of-home placement, hospitalization or school failure; and a specialized therapy program provided to children identified as severely emotionallly disturbed on-site in several Lincoln schools. All agency programs are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Child Guidance Center offers a wealth of challenging employment opportunities:
